EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGHT BURKINA FASO

CABES has a network of 60 community groups and 2000 artisans (and we're still growing!). Our weaving network is mostly made up of women. Our goal is to create meaningful work for our communities networks, many of whom come from marginalised groups, and live in areas affected by climate change, insecurity, and migration. Social workers in our team work with community groups to assess the impact of work, and ensure orders are having a positive effect on peoples’ lives. One tool that we use in all of our workshops is the Ethical Fashion Initiative’s code of conduct.
